Chicken Rice [Kai Fan]~

We attempted to cook Chicken Rice for dinner last nite.... n i must say... it was quite successful. But ofcourse... there's still room for improvement. Lots of room. LOL.

i dint wanna use a whole chicken since it was jes the 2 of us. So i improvised the recipe n steamed some chicken fillets instead.




Rice :

1) We used the 'Mak Nyonya' packet Chicken Rice mix (from Malaysia) to make our rice.

2) Jes follow the instructions n u'd be fine. hehe!!

Chicken :

1) Marinated my chicken fillets with salt, soya sauce, garlic oil, sesame oil, ginger, spring onion, honey (or sugar), chicken broth.

2) Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

3) Steam for 15 to 20 minutes. 

Taugeh :

1) Heat oil. Fry garlic. Add chilli padi. 

2) Pour in Taugeh n fry. Add oyster sauce n TadaAaa!!! 
(But in this case, i did not use oyster sauce as we had extra 'Mak Nyonya' Chicken Rice mix. So i jes add some in my Taugeh instead. Turned out goodz!! :)

Ginger Sauce :

1) Blend ginger, garlic, spring onion, salt , lime juice and chicken stock together. That's it!!

--Tho i need to perfect this recipe. Got to go to Four Seasons in Empire (Malaysia) n try their ginger sauce again to taste wat else did they put in... cz i loveeee their ginger sauce. :/
